-LeBron James
After two strong performances from LeBron James against the Spurs early in the season, he took it to another level in the win on Wednesday. James might have had his best game of the season, as he totaled 42 points in the win.
What made the game so great for James was because of when he did his damage. When the Lakers needed him late, James answered the call. In the fourth quarter, there was no stopping James, as he was hitting three-pointers from beyond Stephen Curry range.
Seeing James in the zone like this against the Spurs is a good indication that he is starting to get a feel for his teammates and Los Angeles. With so many young players on the team, James admittedly needed to get adjusted to playing with them. This was to be expected, but we are now seeing the Lakers really start to play well as a team, and that goes for LeBron as an individual as well.
The Spurs certainly gave the Lakers a really good game on Wednesday night, and against most teams on most nights, they are walking out with a win. However, this is the luxury of the Lakers having LeBron, as he can beat any team, any night. With three great games against the Spurs this season, it will be fun to see what James does on Friday night.
