Svi has been averaging 13.5 minutes per game since Brandon Ingram got injured. I can’t say I know why Luke is playing him, though. He’s averaging 4.9 points per contest over the last ten games while shooting 36 percent from the field. He’s last in almost every advanced stat category on the Lakers, but he’s first on the team in the very prestigious “Every Time he Enters the Game I grimace” stat.

After Brandon Ingram got injured I thought Luke would give Lance at least 23 minutes a game, but instead, Walton’s gone the other way. Stephenson is somehow only averaging 13.3 minutes per game over the last ten outings, which is less than Svi “I don’t belong in the NBA” Mykhailiuk.

Lance’s defense has been awful and he loves to take over offensive possessions, but should he be getting this little time? It makes me wonder if he did something in practice. Did he mouth off to Luke? Is he going half-speed during drills? I’ve heard that he’s been a perfect citizen this year. Maybe we should change his name from “Make Em Dance” Lance to “Give him a Chance” Lance.
