2. Lonzo Ball
Given his career, there are very few things to nitpick Kobe Bryant about. The only area people really got on him consistently was for his passing skills. Bryant was an adept passer when he wanted to be, but scoring was his go-to skill. Maybe he and Lonzo Ball could exchange some tips and both would benefit.
Ball has an incredible gift as a passer and playmaker. He is only in his second season in the NBA but is already regarded as one of the best passers in the league. However, Ball’s offensive game needs a little refining.
We have seen glimpses of what Ball can become. However, he does not always display that aggressiveness and confidence. When you watched Bryant on the court, there was rarely someone who was aggressive or confidence as he was.
In his session at the Mamba Academy, Ball should look into some self-confidence lessons. When Rajon Rondo was sidelined and he wasn’t looking over his shoulder, Ball played very well. Why can’t Ball perform at that level even when Rondo is healthy? If he is playing well, Luke Walton won’t be able to take him out of the game.
Ball has an unorthodox offensive game; that won’t ever drastically change. However, with a few tweaks and help from the Black Mamba, Ball’s offensive game outside his playmaking could really take off.
