Los Angeles Lakers: 4 Lessons from loss to Utah Jazz
By Ronald Agers
Ladies and Gentlemen…Introducing the Lakers leading scorer…Michael Beasley
Yes Lakers fans, Michael Beasley led the team in scoring with 17 points. Why? He was aggressive! He provided something in this game that no other player on this roster had against Utah…
Toughness with a message of…
…I’ll be back!
In 18 minutes, Beasley did something that Ingram should have been doing in the second half. That is shooting the basketball. I had an interesting conversation on social media with a fan who had an issue with Beasley shooting in the second half.
Now whose fault is this? Again looking at the box score, this fan is right. But the eye test shows that Ingram was not looking for his shot. He’s too talented to have only two shots in the second half and if what is said here by this fan is true, it’s more egregious. Ingram has the ball too much in his hands for this to happen.
Michael Beasley was aggressive. Brandon Ingram was not. Plain and simple/
B-Easy did injure his hand in the 4th quarter, but X-rays are negative.
Since Beasley has come back to the team after taking care of his mother, Michael Beasley has shown to be the most consistent competitor on this roster. He needs minutes because he has earned them.
Period.
