– Lonzo Ball
One of the top performers for the Lakers on Tuesday night was Lonzo Ball. Like his teammate, Brandon Ingram, consistency has been an issue for Ball early on in his young career. However, when Ball is playing well, he is capable of getting a triple-double, which is hard to find for a player his age.
In the win against the Bulls, Lonzo totaled 19 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. On the offensive end, Lonzo shot the ball efficiently, as he went 8-for-17 from the field and 3-for-7 from beyond the arc. Of his eight rebounds, four of them were on the offensive end of the court, as he helped create second-chance opportunities for the Lakers.
In a matchup against two other young guards in Zach Lavine and Kris Dunn, Lonzo outplayed both of them on Tuesday, which played a big part in the win. Like when Ingram plays well, the Lakers are capable of surviving when Ball performs well too.
The 17 points from Ball were important, as scoring will be an issue without LeBron. However, an aggressive Lonzo has shown that he can score pretty well when he is attacking the basket. Also, his three-point shot has been much better than last season. Overall, it was a really solid performance from Lonzo in the win.
