– Kyle Kuzma

It has been a great second season for Kyle Kuzma on the Los Angeles Lakers. As a strong scorer in his rookie season, Kuzma has become an even better one for the Lakers this season. While he isn’t shooting three-pointers as efficiently as last season, he has been able to raise his points per game average.

After missing a few games with a back contusion, Kuzma had a career-night against the Detroit Pistons. In a blowout win, Kuzma scored 41 points in three quarters. This was a new career-high for Kuzma, as he could have easily gone for 50+ if he had played in the fourth. However, not pushing him coming off the back contusion was certainly the right move in a lopsided game.

With the Lakers being sizable underdogs on the road, they are going to need their young core to all elevate their play. While the need Ingram to score in the 20s, they could also use Kuzma to score in the upper-20s or low-30s in this game.

Since the big night against the Pistons, Kuzma’s shot has been a little off. However, he has the potential to light it up any night, and the Lakers could use that on Thursday.
