What is the Lakers Perfect Trade Deadline?

The best choice for the Lakers is the least sexy one. LA shouldn’t trade away any players at the trade deadline. This choice might disappoint some fans, but it’s the right thing to do.

In Los Angeles, we don’t celebrate when the Lakers make it to the Western Conference Finals, we only care about one thing: Winning championships. There’s no trade the Lakers could make at the deadline that would help the Lakers get past the Juggernaut 600 miles or so North up the 5 freeway. Barring several injuries, this season belongs to the Warriors.

It’s best for the Lakers to play out the rest of the season with the team they have, which when healthy is a very good squad. Then, the Lakers will have the money to go after a player in the off-season that can really help them get back to the top of the mountain next year.
