2019 NBA All-Star Game: 4 Takeaways from a win for Team LeBron
By Ronald Agers
He put on a show and accomplished what he wanted with Dwyane Wade
D-Wade is on his well documented retirement tour. He seems very content these days. Wade was very thankful for the addition to the All-Star game by Adam Silver. He was honored on Thursday with a special dinner by his peers.
There really was only one thing that Wade was gunning for in his final All-Star game…
"“My only goal All-Star Weekend is to try to throw LeBron [James] one lob because that’s what everybody wants to see,” Wade said Thursday, per Anthony Chiang and David Wilson of the Miami Herald. “Outside of that, I don’t need to do much else, maybe guard Dirk [Nowitzki] once.”"
He didn’t accomplish his goal with Dirk Nowitzki, but he doubled up big time with LeBron…
First LeBron hit him with a sweet alley oop for a dunk…
Then a few plays later…MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
Does this look familiar to anybody?

Reminiscing aside, LeBron James played well in the game. LeBron James scored 19 points, grabbed 8 rebounds (2 offensive), dished out 4 assists and had 2 blocked shots.
During the big 13-0 run, LeBron did have a part in putting some distance in between his team and Giannis’. LeBron James hit a step back 3-pointer over Joel Embiid and took the fans back with another former teammate, Kyrie Irving, catching a lob from him.
He didn’t shoot well from the 3-point line. Outside of the one that counted, he missed the other seven he took which included an air-ball.
That doesn’t matter though. Save them for the home playoff stretch because the Lakers are going to need it.
