Los Angeles Lakers: Kyle Kuzma shines in Rising Stars Challenge
By Ronald Agers
Had Team World won this game…Meet your MVP! Ben Simmons!
Low key, Ben Simmons probably should have won the MVP anyway. Hey, Jerry West won the Finals MVP back in the 60s. Simmons was the best player on the court and nobody could stop him, and he knew it.
Ben Simmons scored 28 points on an absurd 14-of-17 from the field. What makes this more amazing was two of his missed shots were dunks. He looked like he was on a moped with his smooth moves to the basket.
Simmons was a willing passer as well. He dropped six assists as well in the game.
For people who watch for his shots from distance let me get this out-of-the-way; he had none. But he didn’t need to. He just took the ball to the basket with force and just tried to tear the rim down.
He did it windmill style:

He reversed it on the other end. Then found time to play bully ball with Kyle Kuzma.
Lakers fans, this is why Magic Johnson was investigated. Could you see this guy on the Lakers with a jump shot? We’re talking dynasty here. Ben Simmons is a beast, folks. Two more years, we are talking superstar status folks.
Congratulations to all the players that played. This easily was the most entertaining game in this game’s history. Back to the real thing later on this week!
