LeBron James is about to quit

Let me put this on record and let it be known. LeBron James is known to sports fans as the dream “Fantasy NBA” player. Put him on your fantasy team and his stats will win your league…guaranteed. The problem is these stats mean nothing in real games like these.

LeBron James tallied up 27 points, 12 assists, 7 rebounds and 4 steals. He also got his highlights for the sports shows.

But the essence of what LeBron James is doing to this team was shown after the game…

He said some things that may be the death knell of the Lakers playoff hopes with the finger pointed at some of the roster under the age of 24.

Brian Windhorst stated on ESPN’s The Jump that based on all of this activation quotes, the injury should be no longer an issue.

Let me tell you what the real issue is.

LeBron James is out of NBA basketball shape. Simple. In past years, he could coast along and play himself into a certain level and could get away with it in the Eastern Conference.

This is the Western Conference and the teams are a lot better. Why do you think James was struggling in the first half of the Houston game or couldn’t impose his will in this one? It’s easy. He can’t.

Lake Show Life covered his desperation weeks ago during the Anthony Davis saga… Lakers fans, you are watching a decline of a NBA superstar that realizes that his reign of being the “Best player in the world” is over.

Now his legion of fans are going to argue and back him up saying the Lakers can’t survive without his playmaking abilities to make his teammates better.

Or his physical prowess to overpower his opponent.

What is not getting told is that LeBron James and Rajon Rondo are combining to become two of the worst defenders on the team. This is a powerful statement with a Lance Stephenson on your team. Neither one is committed to defensive rotations and the team knows it. What makes things worse is that Luke Walton does nothing about it.

Until LeBron James gets “uncomfortable” enough to play defense, these quotes show the lack of leadership and the unprofessional-ism of LeBron James.
