Luke Walton is done as the Head Coach of the Lakers

Even though I’m not the biggest fan of Luke Walton, I’ll admit it. He is really getting a raw deal and his situation right now is unfair. LeBron James has officially checked out and the locker room is a mess. No one outside of Gregg Popovich, Pat Riley or Phil Jackson can clean up this mess. With a front office devoid of the great Jerry West, the Lakers are turning into a dumpster fire.

Even though Luke Walton has done a good job under these circumstances and seems cool, he has to be going through it. Fans on social media call for his job after every single loss. Nothing was more evident of that fact when the Lakers lost at home to the lowly New York Knicks. Boy let me tell you about the stuff on social media after the Cleveland loss, it wasn’t pretty.

Now with a loss to the Hawks, Pelicans and now the Grizzlies, it’s time to make a move.

Here’s why…

LeBron James is going to repeat the same performance as you have seen since he returned for the rest of the year if Walton stays on the sideline.

LeBron James has the franchise hostage. He knows he has to give full effort for the Lakers to have a chance. He’s just not going to do it for this coach. Magic Johnson is a great man to be admired, but as a fan I will give him some advice. Call Pat Riley and ask for advice to deal with LeBron James.

This entire franchise has to look in the mirror and make a decision, whether the Lakers will make the playoffs or not. Jeanie Buss may have to relent and allow the coaching move to happen. It’s the only way the Lakers are going inspire LeBron James.

If the Lakers don’t care about the playoffs and will shut it down for the summer cool, let Luke Walton do what he can.But if the Lakers are serious about making a push, to absolutely no fault of Walton he needs to be replaced.

LeBron James will not play for him and the franchise is in an embarrassing state right now.

The Los Angeles Lakers are now making a playoff push in their long journey through the NBA season. Lake Show Life will be there every step of the way. Continue to check in for Lakers news, previews and reviews.
