Rajon Rondo activated his “Playoff Mode”

Rajon Rondo made a little history last night being on the second player ever to post a triple-double with 5 different teams joining one of the candidates to replace Luke Walton as head coach next season, Mark Jackson.

Rajon Rondo scored 24 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out 12 assists. He was the best player on the floor for the Lakers in the game knowing he had to give extra effort in the absence of Brandon Ingram.

He controlled the pace early on the fast break…

Plus,  he even tried to play better defense while knocking down four shots from 3-point land. He went on to hit 10-for-18 from the field overall. The Clippers basically dared him to be the scorer and he did deliver for the most part.

The problem was that he was the leading scorer until late. That is not a winning recipe for this team.

But Rajon Rondo was one of the few players on the Lakers roster that really played and competed like the playoffs were on the line. Also he looked like the only one outside of Josh Hart that did not seem intimidated by the physical play of Patrick Beverley and Montrezl Harrell.
