Another Lakers player gets a comment from an opponent’s announcer!

On Sunday, it was Walt Frazier talking about LeBron James and his actions on the floor. On Tuesday against the Bucks, it was Marques Johnson talking about Kyle Kuzma. It may not cause the buzz of the previous game, but the message was just as telling.

In the 4th quarter with the game basically put away by Milwaukee, Kuzma tried a turnaround jumper that was a bad airball. I mean it wasn’t even close.

To hear Johnson say these words would make any Lakers fan angry.

It seems that Kyle Kuzma is playing out the string.

The problem is just like Walt Frazier’s opinion about LeBron James, Marques Johnson is just as spot on about Kyle Kuzma.

Kuzma was awful in this game scoring 17 points on a putrid 4-of-17 from the field. He hit only 2-8 from 3-point land and had the worst plus/minus on both teams with -27.

It not only stems from this game. He had the same listless performance in the loss to Detroit as well. It seems that he does not care at this point. It’s hard to figure out. Maybe the issues about the young core letting the trade rumors affect their play were meant from him.

Maybe he’s disheartened from the Brandon Ingram injury. Has he lost confidence in his shot? Who knows. But right now, he has picked up every lazy habit LeBron James has practiced all season long.

Only one problem…

LeBron James can keep right on going with his behavior, he’s not going anywhere. Believe it or not, that contract will soon be immovable and no NBA team will give the Lakers equal value.

Kyle Kuzma’s rookie contract is a lot easier to move. Kyle Kuzma needs to keep that in mind.

The Los Angeles Lakers are now closing their long journey through the NBA season. Lake Show Life will be there every step of the way. Continue to check in for Lakers news, previews and reviews.
