LeBron James attitude has changed and the team’s has too

Lake Show Life reports have been very critical of LeBron James’ play and attitude this season. Why? Because the Lakers were only going to go as far as their highest paid player would take them.

Since the New York game, there has been a noticeable difference in LeBron’s attitude. Maybe if Walt Frazier had called him out before the All-Star break about not caring, maybe this site would be talking about playoff matchups.

Oh well. There’s always next year.

LeBron James dominated the game in a different way from JaVale McGee, scoring 23 points, setting the table with 14 assists and grabbing seven rebounds. This is the type of play the Lakers needed from LeBron all year in the positionless basketball scheme Luke Walton and the front office wanted to play.

He attacked the basket and made pinpoint passes.

He was aggressive and ran the floor that set up avenues for his teammates. Then, instead of demanding the ball to run the fast break, he allowed his teammates to make plays by just running hard in his lanes.

Watch how LeBron James runs the floor at full speed, beating the Wizards transition defense down the floor for the slam dunk. I thought he got fouled too but that is another conversation. There were comments about the impromptu shimmy shake after the dunk considering the Lakers are out of the playoffs.

Who cares at this point. The Lakers have to work on rebuilding their culture and this will depend on LeBron James. He is a major reason why the Lakers struggled this season. Now he has a reputation of being a bad teammate. Now he is actually auditioning to the top free agents that playing with him is not as difficult as reported.

This game was a good start.
