LeBron James provided highlights and then closed the game out

As you can see in the picture above the spotlight was on LeBron James before the game. Unfortunately for LeBron, the spotlight was on him long before the game started. First ESPN released an article laying out the disastrous season for the Lakers which included confirmed some very unflattering information about James’ antics and body language.

It was also leaked that he felt some kind of way about how this roster was put together with a lack of shooters.

LeBron James will have to deal with the leaks for the rest of the season, but at times during this game, he was actually backing up the body language part of the story that he was criticized about.

After starting slow with a few turnovers, he took advantage of Rondo’s play-making and the spacing of KCP shooting and started to dominate.

LeBron James scored 27 points and had 9 assists. The most important contribution to the Lakers was that he closed the game out. These types of games are going to be the ones that are double-edged swords for fans. Sure, LeBron played well, but it exposes all of the problems that were laid out not only by the ESPN article but the post game reports all season by Lake Show Life. He did everything that was planned in the offseason.

He played off the ball and cut to the basket and finished with purpose…

He continued to build his chemistry with JaVale McGee playing the pick and roll, something that has been unstoppable during this three-game home winning streak…

LeBron knocked down 3-pointers that kept the Hornets at bay when they tried to make a run. Overall, he finished with 11 points in the final quarter. By that time, the Hornets were so focused on stopping him, it left the paint wide open with no rim protection the few times he did miss.
