Los Angeles Lakers: Reasons to keep Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball
Kyle Kuzma’s Athletic Ability
Kuzma seemed to be a great sidekick alongside LeBron James – catching passes, making cuts, and executing perfect plays for dunks. With that kind of chemistry, it’s clear Kuzma is going to be a special player.
To put things into perspective, Kuzma is averaging 18.7 points per game while sharing the rock with LeBron James and Brandon Ingram. On a struggling team, Kuzma would probably be averaging between 20 and 22 points per game, similar to the way D’Angelo Russell expanded his game when he got traded to the, at the time, lowly Nets.
Magic Johnson seems to be hell-bent on acquiring a superstar, and it seems he’s even willing to part ways with the trio of Kuzma, Ingram, and Ball. However, it would be wise to invest in the future.
Parting with the young trio to pair LeBron with a superstar would only pay off in the short-term. LeBron will be 35 years old next season, and it’s time for the Lakers to build around their young trio.
