Alex Caruso needs more time on the floor to close the season

After being one of the only bright spots in the only Lakers loss in Utah during this five-game stretch, Alex Caruso only saw the court 18 minutes against Charlotte. The Lake Show Life post game report openly questioned the practice especially after Rajon Rondo played his worst game of the season in the same game.

Alex Caruso gave Laker Show Life some credibility with his performance against the Pelicans.

Luke Walton gave Caruso 29 minutes and Alex went out and had a career performance. Caruso scored a career-high 23 points on 7-of-11 shooting which included him knocking down all of his four 3-point shots. Caruso helped the Lakers put some distance from the Pelicans leading the 12-4 run in the second quarter with 11 points. Caruso also contributed 6 assists, 3 rebounds and 4 steals.

This dude is the real deal. He plays hard and with intensity. He reminds me of Scott Skiles from back in the day. Magic Johnson should know him considering he played his college ball at Michigan State. Shaquille O’Neal knows him because they reportedly got in a practice scuffle when he was in Orlando. Caruso is the lunch pail guy the Lakers need going forward. The Lakers announcers were actually counting how many times Alex Caruso hit the floor sacrificing his body.

If the Los Angeles Lakers had played with Alex Caruso’s principles and professionalism, they could easily be in the playoffs.

The Lakers can ignore his characteristics and let him walk, but if they do and he goes by the route of Julius Randle, Thomas Bryant, Brook Lopez and D’Angelo Russell.

Magic Johnson might need to resign and let someone else run the team. This dude has character that can change the culture of a franchise. Something the Lakers need badly.
