Rajon Rondo is playing for a contract folks

Rajon Rondo is giving the Los Angeles Lakers and the NBA a little reminder of how much game he has in the repertoire. After being the first Laker to collect 17 assists in a game since his boss, Magic Johnson did it back in 1989, he continued his onslaught against the Pelicans.

It is touch and go with the possibility of Rondo coming back to the Lakers with all of the incidents that surrounded him this year. But Rajon has made it clear that he wants to be a part of the Lakers…

"“So, I don’t know what the future holds as far as the summer — if I come back, or who else comes back or if I don’t come back. Those things are out of my control. But at the same time, it’s a great organization. I can’t say enough about the staff and the people who work here. They’re really kind and helpful, so I want to continue, if I can, help this organization grow.”"

Well games like these tend to help out his cause don’t you think?

Rajon Rondo continued his strong play scoring 24 points and dishing out 12 assists giving the Lakers brass and visual of what he can bring to the team next year without the injury setbacks.

Rondo was very aggressive with his shot, shooting 9-of-4 from the field and knocking down four 3-point shots. He wasn’t just toeing the line on these shots either. Rondo was bringing rain with the arc on some of the shots he was shooting from distance. Then when he received respect on the jumper, he drove the ball to the basket and finished at the rim…

Rajon Rondo was covered by Lake Show Life before the season on what the fans could expect. I stated that Rondo was an “acquired taste”. Either you liked him or hated him. Rondo did little to make me out a liar. He brought as much drama to the Lakers at times as LeBron James did.

But the one thing all parties of the Lakers organization do not over look is his leadership. If JaVale McGee is considered the easiest decision for the Los Angeles Lakers, then Rajon Rondo is the toughest
