2. Enes Kanter

Kanter is one of the more bipolar players in terms of skillset. He’s an incredibly skilled offensive player and rebounder, but defensively he’s a total sieve.

This has prevented Kanter from playing full-on starter’s minutes, but has allowed to still be a useful back-up center for teams like the Oklahoma City Thunder, New York Knicks and most recently, the Portland Trail Blazers.

What Kanter can provide for the Lakers is a go-to scoring option off the bench. He can come in and provide instant offense should the team need it. He also provides a “break in case of emergency” starting option should the Laker’s big man rotation sustain any injuries.

But, obviously, with a team like the Lakers that is already struggling on the defensive end, adding a player with defensive deficiencies like Kanter may exacerbate an already glaring weakness for this team. However, his upside offensively is still incredibly valuable.
