5. Danny Green

Green is one of the premiere 3-and-D wings in the NBA, and as such, will be a very sought after player in the offseason. It also helps that he’s been having a career year, averaging just over 10 PPG on a blistering 45.5% from three.

Speaking in terms of fit, Green is the perfect player to slot next to LeBron James; he can guard the opposing team’s best wing and doesn’t need the ball in his hands to be effective. However, defensively, is where the acquisition of Green is the most enticing, as the pairing of him and Lonzo Ball would make for a terrifying defensive backcourt.

Green’s current contract is a three-year, $30 million deal signed back in the summer of 2015; a tremendous bargain for both the San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors, so it’s hard to tell what kind of offers he’ll receive in the offseason, seeing as how his skill set is a highly sought after commodity in this league. But, you can imagine that a deep playoff run with the Raptors this playoffs will factor in his next contract, but it shouldn’t be much more than his current deal.

A multi-year deal in the $10-12 million dollar range seems about right for a player of Green’s skill-set and age, which would still give the Lakers around $25 million in cap space to use.
