– Young Core should improve

One of the very appealing things about the Lakers is the young core of talent that they have. With years of losing has come some high draft picks for the Lakers. The Lakers have done a nice job drafting in recent years with their top picks, as they have players like Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball, who both have All-Star potential.

In addition to getting it right with their high picks, the Lakers have also found success later in the first round. The decisions to draft both Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart at the end of the first round in the 2017 NBA Draft, turned out to be excellent.

With a solid young core, the Lakers should continue to see these players improve. While injuries limited the young core a bit last season, we did see them take steps in the right direction. Ingram will be entering his fourth season next year and he could be poised for a big year. Prior to being shut down with the blood clot issue last season, Ingram was really coming on.

Since the Lakers have the 4th overall pick, there is a possibility of another great young player joining this already impressive young core.
