1. LeBlow It All Up

There’s been a lot of speculation that Jeanie Buss and her storied franchise would mull over the idea of trading LeBron James.

I, for one, have always ignored this possibility. I don’t think it would be wise, and it’s severely far-fetched. However, if the Lakers can’t trade for Anthony Davis or Bradley Beal, and fail to acquire at least one of the “second tier” free agents aforementioned, trading James may be the only viable option left.

LeBron isn’t getting younger, and a similar roster as this years likely wouldn’t make the playoffs again, and especially won’t compete for a championship. Therefore, if the Lakers can’t succeed this offseason in pairing LeBron with one star at the minimum, it would be best to move on from James.

Doing so would have to be executed in a professional manner, where LeBron would be happy with his new situation or it would result in a terrible look for the Lakers organization. Trading James to the right team would give the Lakers a plethora of young assets to build upon for the future, which would be the teams only hope.

This, of course, if the last option and not a very encouraging one, but one that might be forced onto Jeanie Buss if the Lakers have another failing summer.
