Will the Lakers draft for the “prospect” (Barrett) or for the “upside” (Reddish)?

Assuming that both players are still available, the Lakers have two options. R.J. Barrett is the can’t miss prospect based on his one year in college while Reddish has teams looking at his potential. This is what NBA executives will be thinking about for the next several weeks.

The topic of conversation about these two players was discussed on NBA TV.

With things going so rocky right now for the Los Angeles Lakers, they have to go with R.J. Barrett if available.

I think Cam Reddish will be a good professional down the line, but with LeBron James on the roster for at least two more years (most likely three) the Lakers need to desperately get the best player available and avoid having to develop any players over the next two years. They really have to have some time of success next year.
