Durant Remaining A Warrior Hurts Everybody, Including Himself

Without hesitation, I can declare Durant remaining a Warrior as being the worst scenario for the Lakers. This would be catastrophic, as the entire NBA has seen how it affects competition throughout the league over the past three seasons.

The Lakers, nor any other team, would have a real shot at procuring an NBA title anytime soon if Durant remains a Warrior, barring any significant injuries to his team, which doesn’t even seem to be affecting them too much if at all right now.

Durant has the ability to monopolize the NBA for several more seasons with remaining a Warrior, and that hurts every team in the league including the Lakers. That being said, KD wouldn’t be doing himself any favors by re-signing with the Warriors.

If Durant wants a great legacy, he’s going to have to prove his worth. By staying on the Warriors, Durant would have no shot at entering the discussion as the greatest player of all time, which otherwise might be a real conversation to be had.
