Now that Durant is hurt, do you think this will affect the plans of the Pelicans?

David Grubb:

"Durant’s injury raises AD’s value around the league. Few teams can afford to sign Durant, if he opts out, and then potentially have him sidelined for the season. There are six teams with space to potentially sign two max players, but there aren’t that many players on the market who fit that bill. I also think Kyrie Irving’s value has taken a slight hit as of late. So GMs are under pressure to land a big fish. As of now, AD is the biggest fish in the pond and the Pels know this."

In other words, back up the Brinks truck with assets. To the credit of the Los Angeles Lakers and whomever is doing the negotiations, Adrian Wojnarowski states that the Lakers have been aggressive in their pursuit of Anthony Davis. What’s even more promising is that these negotiations have been church mouse silent compared to the last time the negotiations were being done…

Now we know that the Pelicans want the deal done. Here’s where all of the Lakers fans start these rumors on social media trying to figure out what is going on. Just because the Pelicans want a deal done, it has been made clear by David Griffin that he will not be rushed into making a deal just to make one.

Here we are Lakers fans, the $64.39 question…
