
1. The Lakers need help at the center position
No matter what transpires this summer, the Los Angeles Lakers cannot neglect the 5 spot.
Even though they’re apparently getting Anthony Davis, he may not want to play center all the time. Even if he does, the team will need a reliable backup C, as rookie Moritz Wagner has shown that he’s not ready.
If Anthony Davis isn’t wearing the purple and gold next season, the center position becomes a much bigger need. JaVale McGee is another option at that position that they should seriously look into, as he had a very nice season for the Lakers.
But he won’t be enough, as he has asthma and cannot play a huge number of minutes all season long.
