3. Ricky Rubio
This man could be an interesting option if the Lakers were to pursue him. He has always been a very good passer with a lifetime average of 7.7 assists per game in his eight seasons. He also has decent size at 6-foot-4, and he’s known as a strong defensive player who has a career average of 1.9 steals per game, second among active players.
However, he is not an efficient shooter, as he has shot only 38.8 percent from the field and 32.2 percent from the 3-point line in his career. Would those numbers improve playing next to a great shot creator like LeBron? Rubio has never played on a team that was anywhere close to a title contender.
He has, however, played in the playoffs twice for the Utah Jazz these past two seasons, so he would bring that experience to the table.
Will Rubio be willing to take a slight pay cut to finally get a shot at a world championship? In 2018-19 he made nearly $15 million.
