Not all players are made the same. Some guys thrive under the bright lights of a big city, while others prefer a city that the media circus is tame. Los Angeles has bright lights, a storied history and strong media, so it is not a place everyone can play. It does not seem as if Dudley is not one of those players.
Dudley wants all the bright lights that Los Angeles has to offer. As Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN shared, Dudley wanted a chance to play for the Lakers and he is now receiving that chance.

Dudley is now being afforded that chance. While playing for the Lakers is a totally different monster than playing for the Clippers, Dudley already has experienced what it is like to play in this city. Dudley also has experience playing in the biggest media market in the league in New York, as he spent last season with the Brooklyn Nets.
Dudley should have no problem adjusting to the high expectations and media circus that will follow the Lakers this season.
