Quinn Cook: B+

The Lakers added another NBA champion and sharp shooter in Quinn Cook to the mix, with a reported deal worth $6 million over two years.

Cook is a career 42% three point shooter, and looks like he has a chance to be the new starting point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron James, Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins will now all be given the space needed to operate inside the paint with both Cook and Green hanging around the perimeter.

Despite being in the league for only three seasons, Cook is an experienced winner. He backed up Stephen Curry in Golden State for two seasons, who helped Cook develop his game into one very similar to that of Curry’s.

Cook wasn’t given a significant amount of money, which makes him a low-risk but solid reward addition.

  • Quinn Cook’s 36 minute per game averages last season: 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists.
