Alex Caruso: B

Alex Caruso was the last of six signings to the Lakers’ roster on Saturday. Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the deal is worth $5.5 Million over two years.C

Caruso finished last season on a very strong note. In the Lakers’ last five games of this past season, he averaged 17.2 points, 8.4 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game. Caruso is a bouncy, high-IQ and young point guard. The 25-year-old could end up with as good as a starting role for the Lakers to as bad as a third-string point guard. Either way, Caruso is another nice pickup for the Lakers.

What helps make the Caruso signing even better, is the attraction he drew from other team(s). Ramona Shelburne reported that the Golden State Warriors had “significant interest” in the point guard, before losing him to the Lakers. The Lakers will continue to try and improve their backcourt, but securing Caruso for two years is another nice play from Rob Pelinka.
