– Average 20 points per game
Since coming into the NBA, there is no denying that Kuzma can put the ball in the basket. For a forward, Kuzma might lack some size to play against opposing power forwards on the defensive end, but he sure can make them pay on the other end of the court.
With his quick first step, Kuzma is a mismatch on the offensive end against power forwards. When he is lined up as a small forward, he is able to use his size in post to hurt the opposing defender.
Due to his size, speed and array of moves, Kuzma is able to score in pretty much every way. In his rookie season, Kuzma was able to average 16.1 points per game, which is extremely well for a rookie. Last season, Kuzma upped his scoring average to 18.7 points per game.
While Kuzma’s shooting percentage did drop from three-point range from his rookie season, he did improve his overall field goal percentage by five points. If Kuzma is able to get his three-point percentage up from last season, he is going to see his scoring average increase as well.
After averaging almost 19 points per game last season, there is no reason why Kuzma can get past the 20 point per game mark. After some big scoring nights last season, it should be fun to see what Kuzma can do in his third season.
