4. Karl Anthony-Towns

People forget Karl Anthony-Towns is only 23-years-old. The main reason is because he came into the league and made a huge impact out the gate. As a rookie in 2015-16 he averaged 18.3 points and 10.5 rebounds. He was named Rookie of the Year, and it wasn’t close. He followed it up with a superb second season putting up 25.1 points and 12.3 rebounds.

Fast forward to now where he will be entering his fifth season. He is now one of the best bigs in basketball. In fact he’s as talented as any of them. The main question with Towns since his college days has been his toughness. It doesn’t affect him from dominating games but it can affect him in taking his next step as a superstar.

An example of this is the Jimmy Butler incident where Towns and his teammates were called out by the gritty star. Butler moved on and Towns had a respectable 2018-19 campaign putting up averages of 24.4 points and 12.4 rebounds. He also made a career-high 142 three-pointers (40%) and averaged 3.4 assists.

If Towns wants to move up in this list, he will have to do more than make the playoffs once in four seasons. It will be tough being in the Western Conference but anything is possible.
