2. Joel Embiid

If Joel Embiid can stay healthy he will be a force for the next decade. He is special on both ends of the basketball court. Something that is rare in today’s game. The 76ers had to wait quite some time for Embiid to suit up in their uniform, but it was well worth the wait.

Embiid missed the first two years of his career with injuries. In his rookie season in 2016-17 he averaged 20.2 points and 7.8 rebounds in only 25 minutes.

This past season, his third of his career he was the most dominant big. Embiid averaged 27.5 points, 13.6 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks. The superstar center showed tremendous growth as a passer where he averaged 3.7 assists. The only knock on Embiid is that at times he settles for too many threes when he can just dominate inside. If he sticks to what he does best, the league will be in trouble.

Look for Embiid to have a big postseason after nagging injuries slowed him down in last year’s playoffs. In the playoffs he averaged 20.2 points and 10.5 rebounds. The addition of big man Al Horford, who wasn’t far off this list, will go a long way for a talented 76ers squad next season.
