With so many new players, including a new superstar and a new coaching staff, many have commented on how building chemistry will take time for the Lakers this upcoming season and be an overall challenge.

However, they will have six players returning from the 2018-19 squad, and KCP is obviously one of them.

This means that James and Rajon Rondo already have some sense of where KCP gravitates to for an open shot when they have the ball. They know which spots on the floor he tends to be more efficient from. They know how he tends to respond to different game situations, whether it’s on defense, fast break or early offense situations or certain halfcourt offensive actions.

This will greatly help the Lakers expedite the whole process and challenge of building championship-level chemistry in 2019-20. Especially if KCP comes out shooting well in the opening weeks of the new season.

Expediting the growth and development of team chemistry will go a long way in building strong team morale and confidence, which will help them finish with one of the best records in the West and the whole NBA, which will ultimately increase their chances of winning the NBA championship.
