15. DeMarcus Cousins

Boogie was widely considered to be the best big man in the NBA before he tore his Achilles in January 2018. In his abbreviated 30-game comeback with the Warriors this past season, he managed to average 16 points, eight rebounds and 3.6 assists on a stacked team although his lateral movement and elevation were restricted.

His new injury dashed hopes that he might come somewhat close to recover his old dominant pre-injury form this season.

14. Talen Horton-Tucker

The 18-year-old rookie missed the Summer League due to a stress fracture in his right foot. Once he has recovered, he will almost certainly spend most of the season in the G League where he can get in better physical shape and start to hone his raw ability.

As is the case with the two-way players, THT will likely only play for the Lakers in an occasional blow-out or if multiple injuries strike.

13. Troy Daniels

Make no mistake about it, Daniels can shoot the rock. He has connected on nearly 41% of his three-point attempts in his six-year career. He will probably start the season on the deep bench. But he will likely get some spot time on the court here and there when his shooting skills are needed. He’ll also provide insurance if others suffer injuries.
