– Make All-Defensive team
One of the goals for the Lakers this season is to be one of the best defensive teams in the league. With Frank Vogel now on the bench, the Lakers will have one of the best defensive-minded coaches in the NBA.
In addition to adding Vogel to the coaching staff, the Lakers were also able to add some great defensive players in Anthony Davis and Danny Green. Like those two, Bradley is also a strong defensive player.
There is a good chance that the Lakers will be using Bradley as the starting point guard next season, and that will be a challenging test in the Western Conference. In the West, there are a lot of great point guards that will be challenging the Lakers throughout the season.
Bradley has made the All-Defensive Team twice in his career so far, with the most recent coming in the 2015-16 season. Bradley has played both shooting guard and point guard in recent years, but is a better defender as a point guard. Since Bradley doesn’t have the height to play against most opposing shooting guards, being a point guard with the Lakers should help him defensively.
If Bradley is able to set the tone at the point guard position defensively, it should set the tone for the rest of the team.
