2.) Anthony Davis
The next two players in this ranking are pretty obvious, but the more interesting part was deciding which to . Each player brings something to the table that the other doesn’t. For example Anthony Davis brings a versatile scoring arsenal, and elite rim protection, whereas LeBron brings elite play-making and the ability to control the tempo of the game.
In terms of his placement on this ranking, need I say more? Davis has a career PER of 27.4, and prior to requesting a trade from the Pelicans, was having an MVP caliber season, putting up averages of 29.3 points, 13.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 2.6 blocks, and 1.7 steals.
Davis is one of the best two-way bigs in the game, as he can score from practically everywhere on the floor, match-up defensively against the league’s best big men, and can capably guard switches as well. His one ‘weakness’ if you can call it that is his average three-point shooting ability, as his career average is only 31.4 percent, but he’s made improvements, averaging 34 and 33 percent in the past two seasons.
But perhaps the most important aspect is that he’s still entering his prime, at only 27-years-old, and can possibly raise his game to another level playing alongside LeBron James — a scary proposition for the rest of the league.
Speaking of which, we’ve finally arrived at the No. 1 slot in the 2019-2020 Los Angeles Lakers player power ranking.
