Small Forward: Kyle Kuzma

If the Lakers can pry Andre Iguodala from the Memphis Grizzlies before the season starts then this will be his position. However, as the Lakers are a bit thin at the small forward spot, Kyle Kuzma will have to rise to the challenge and certainly do the job perfectly.

While Kuzma might feel slighted that he is not in the starting lineup, that was never going to occur when Anthony Davis made it known he doesn’t want to play center. While some Lakers fans are irate that Kuzma will start the year on the bench, this as a massive advantage for the purple and gold.

You have a potential All-Star in Kuzma coming off the bench, much like Lou Williams, you get a massive scoring punch off the bench who will cause havoc against opposing teams 2nd units.

You also get a player with a chip on his shoulder who believes he should be starting, so you better believe that Kuz is going to work his ass off to get back into that starting line up.

Along with KCP, I can see Kuzma leading the second unit and making it a true strength for the Lakers. Kyle Kuzma, if he accepts his role as the 6th man, could easily be in the conversation for the 6th man of the year.

With Kuzma having worked with “Lethal Shooter” over the summer, Lakers nation is expecting big things from him this year.
