Analysis

Kuzma has all the tools to be an elite player in the NBA that will be an All-Star in this league and he will continue to improve with more experience. All five areas that were touched on are areas that Kuzma will improve on this upcoming season to take his game to the next level.

Playing next to James, Davis and a plethora of shooters will help Kuzma become a more effective player, while his length and versatility will help him defensively. Being a two-way player is a rarity in the NBA and when you have all the tools Kuzma has, there is belief that he could be that type of player.

I can see Kuzma finishing with a 113 offensive rating this season, which would be a 4.6 improvement on that end and his defense being around 106, which would be an improvement of 3.7. That would put his net rating at +7 which would be very good for his position and put him well above average.

The Lakers put a lot of faith in Kuzma and they will look to see that pay off this season, as they try to create their big three. With all the improvements Kuzma worked on this offseason, he will play a vital role for this Lakers team as they have championship aspirations.

Kuzma has the opportunity to not only be a big part of the Lakers plans now, but also in the future. So growing in each of these areas will continue his ascension to being in the all-star conversations as his career continues to move on an upward trajectory.
