5.) Alex Caruso
The Bald Mamba has come a long way from being an unknown G League guard a couple of years ago. He has now evolved into a Laker fan favorite, expected to play a key role on this Lakers team, and has already garnered an ESPN interview with Rachel Nichols.
On top of all that, we can expect to see a lot of Alex Caruso in these preseason games since the veteran guards like Rajon Rondo, Danny Green, and Avery Bradley will most likely be seeing limited minutes, and I for one am excited to see what he can bring to the table, and the improvements he’s made over the offseason.
The thing I will be watching closely is his ability to run the offense from the point guard position, and make plays for both himself and his teammates. Last season he didn’t get much of an opportunity to showcase this, but with a larger role in the offense, I fully expect Vogel to put the ball in Caruso’s hands and see what he’s capable of.
