JaVale McGee just continues to dominate the middle of the paint and at times beyond!

JaVale McGee easily has been the most consistent player on the roster this season. His energy and efficient play on both ends will have the Lakers faithful very excited when paired up next to Anthony Davis. When the two are on the floor at the same time, good luck to opposing guards and wings getting to the rim and finishing.

McGee came into the game shooting an absurd 71.3% from the floor. He continued playing his game around the rim scoring 4-for-6 from the field. The only shots that he missed were tapping the ball at the rim keeping the ball alive trying to get an offensive rebound. With all of the attention that Anthony Davis and LeBron James will receive this season, JaVale is becoming proficient in cutting to the basket trailing for strong finishes.

But that’s not all. McGee seems to have learned a few things from the “Splash Brothers”.

Yes, McGee stepped out from behind the arc and knocked down a 3-pointer. What was great watching this play was Lakers announcer Stu Lantz yelling for JaVale to shoot it.

In 17 minutes, McGee had his usual efficient game, scoring 11 points, corralling 5 rebounds (2 on the offensive end) and blocked 3 shots. The center position was dominated by the Lakers as the Warriors rolled out their small ball lineup that was useless as Howard and McGee held down the back line of a defense that held the Warriors to 36% shooting.

There was a Lance Stephenson flashback in this game.
