1. Floor spacing
One area where the Lakers improved this offseason was shooters to help space the floor around LeBron James. James has been at his best when he could pick his spots and find shooters. Last season the Lakers didn’t have enough options that could shoot from the corners and wings.
By grabbing Green, Bradley, Troy Daniels, Quinn Cook and Dudley, they greatly improved in this area. It should also make James’ job a lot easier as he will now be the main point guard of the team. This allows him to see the whole floor with guys he trusts because you can have the best vision in the world, but it would mean nothing if you don’t have guys that can make shots.
Danny Green will have the biggest impact of all of them as he shot an astronomical 50.5% from corner 3-pointers last season. What’s even more amazing is that’s not on a small sample size either, as he was 93-of-184. He will have many opportunities to make more 3-pointers with the space he will have to shoot with defenses doubling Davis and James.

Dudley shot 42.4% from corner 3-point range, going 14-of-33. Daniels shot 51.2% from there on 22-of-43. Bradley shot 38% on 35-of-92 and Cook checked in at 44.2% on 19-of-43. So each of those guys is way above average from the corners and that will be a huge boost for this offense, especially when defenses are drawn towards finding ways to stop James and Davis.
Balancing out the roster, instead of going all-in for Kawhi Leonard, will turn out to be the right choice and this offense will come around once the real games hit. The spacing that was signed will be great to help this team hit the next level, and these guys are all veterans that know what it takes to make big shots in moments.
