LeBron James shows that if focused, he’s an MVP candidate.

With all of the drama from LeBron James’ comments on Monday, most probably rolled their eyes when he made this statement the next day courtesy of ESPN about focusing on the rest of the season.

"“That’s my main goal right now. I feel like I talked about it yesterday. I tweeted out responses to people not understanding my knowledge and where it came from with my brain and learning from the situation. I’m talking about it now. I won’t talk about it again. “I’d be cheating my teammates by continuing to harp on something that won’t benefit us. We’re trying to win a championship."

There have been times, LeBron would make a statement (Playoff mode statement last year?) that would make some snicker in the background. Nobody was laughing after this game unless you count the Anthony Davis photobomb during LeBron’s interview.

King James played like he was exorcising demons, dropping 18 points and 11 assists in 25 minutes. He didn’t play in the last quarter. The stats don’t tell the story. It was HOW he got the stats that said it all.

I mean what is this? Really?

By this time, James really was trying to see what he could get away with. He actually was practicing the “Dream Shake” in the paint which showed that he was totally comfortable. But this though? Pushing the ball up the court and have the presence of mind (And huge cajones!) to throw a behind the back, no-look pass to Danny Green in the corner.

What was even more ridiculous was the fact that he got up and started to run down to the other end of the court while the ball was in the air like he knew it was going to fall.

One more highlight and let’s move on. The only debate is which play was more impressive, the no-look pass or this one.

What are we doing? Double alley-oops now? Alex Caruso throws a lob to James to throw a lob to Dwight Howard for a slam dunk. People may not remember the EA Sports game NBA Street, but that was as close to seeing a video game played out in real life.

What’s all this talk about the Los Angeles Lakers needing a “Big 3”? Oh, they have a big three. A real big three.

Place Anthony Davis with these two centers, the Los Angeles Lakers have the biggest three in basketball.
