Kyle Kuzma
A major part of the Lakers’ youth movement over the last two seasons, Kyle Kuzma is the sole remaining member of the purple and golds much loved young core.
With Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram no longer on the roster, Kuzma is left to fly the flag for the young core. With the level of work Kuzma has been putting in this summer, it seems very likely that Kyle Kuzma is going to be taking a major jump this coming season.
Throughout this offseason, Kuzma has been putting in work. Whether it is cleaning up his jump shot with the help of renowned shooting coach “Lethal Shooter”
Whether it is working alongside the likes of San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich and Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr for team USA or simply just working alongside his new teammates throughout the offseason, it is very clear to see that Kuzma has been putting the work in to be the best version of himself he can be.
Kuzma is going to play a very important role in whether the Los Angeles Lakers win or lose. He is going to be relied upon heavily to be a very important member of the closing line up whilst also being the centerpiece of the purple and golds’ 2nd unit.
With Kuzma’s ability to score in a variety of ways, he is going to torch so many teams 2nd units throughout this season. If he remains in a bench role, Kuzma is my early favorite to win the 6th man of the year award.
While Kuzma will likely start the season on the bench, don’t get it twisted. The former Ute is very much going to be front and center in the Lakers closing line up.
With Kuzma’s ability to shoot the ball from three, his ability to play 3 through 5 and his effort on defense, he will be an extremely useful contributor to the Lakers this season.
If he reaches his potential, he could be an All-Star performer very soon.
