4.) The Howard/McGee center rotation
Another positive takeaway from the Laker’s preseason was the sheer size they’re going to be bringing night in and night out, spearheaded by the proverbial three-headed monster big man rotation of Anthony Davis, JaVale McGee, and Dwight Howard.
With McGee cementing himself as the team’s starter with some stellar play, Howard has also shown a willingness to come off the bench and provide the same energy that McGee has been bringing.
Both are absolute monsters on the glass and provide a great corollary to Anthony Davis, who doesn’t have to subject his body to the wear and tear of playing big minutes at center for the regular season.
Even though the Lakers only played the Nets and Warriors this preseason, their absolute dominance in terms of rebounding, especially against the undersized Warriors, is an encouraging sign for any team that decides to go small against this team down the line.
With a potential starting lineup of Bradley, Green, James, Davis, and McGee, this is one of the bigger, imposing starting fives in the entire league.
