1. Anthony Davis

The Los Angeles Lakers have seen glimpses of the greatness that Anthony Davis can provide. He has had a strong first half against both the LA Clippers and Utah Jazz but faded after halftime. LA and Utah both have stifling defenses that the Charlotte Hornets do not possess, so this is a game we should see an impressive showing from Davis.

LeBron James had a dominant game against the Jazz, as Utah had no answer for him when he moved off-ball and went to work in the paint. Davis should find some favorable matchups of his own against Charlotte, whether it’s against Bismack Biyombo, Willy Hernangomez or rookie PJ Washington.

This is a pristine matchup for Davis to dominate. Lauri Markkanen scored 35 points with 17 rebounds, two assists and one in the first game against the Hornets. Karl-Anthony Towns was unstoppable as well, scoring 37 points, 15 rebounds, eight assists, four steals and two blocks in only 28 minutes.

Davis should be salivating about what he could accomplish in this matchup. The Hornets will have no answer for Davis as he should put up some gaudy statistics on both ends of the court.

Lakers fans have gotten a preview of what Davis could do. He dominated for stretches in the preseason and had his moments against the Clippers and Jazz. He has been looking to acclimate himself to Los Angeles, but tonight, he should have his true coming-out party with an explosive game.
