Los Angeles Lakers: Ranking the 10 best jerseys of all time

6.) 1958-1960 Throwback (2004-2005)
This may be the most ‘un-Laker’ jersey of them all as there are no signs of purple or gold anywhere to be found, but that doesn’t stop these jerseys from nabbing a spot in this power ranking. A little bit of history first, the Minneapolis Lakers wore these uniforms for a brief spell just before their move to Los Angeles.
The Lakers brought these jerseys back as a throwback in the 2004-2005 season and it hasn’t seen the light of day since, which is a shame, to say the least, as these jerseys have a nice ‘old school’ flair to them, while maintaining a connection to an important part of the team’s history.
In today’s NBA, it’s pretty uncommon for these types of jersey designs to exist, as the creative minds behind Nike have opted for more recent throwbacks from the 80s and 90s such as the purple mountain Jazz, blue Vancouver Grizzlies, and purple pinstripe Raptors.
But fans can always hope that they’ll change their mind, and if they do, this should be one of the jerseys they should consider bringing back.
