1. Jeremy Lin
Out of all of the current available free agent point guards, Jeremy Lin is by far the best of them, which speaks more to the quality of players available rather than Lin’s abilities.
But still, after bouncing around the league following Linsanity, Lin found himself on the roster of the 2019 NBA Champion Toronto Raptors, and even though he didn’t play a single minute in the Finals, he was still a solid contributor in the regular season for the team.
By all accounts, Lin is still an acceptable NBA player, which makes it a little surprising that he is currently playing overseas for the Beijing Ducks. Lin’s career averages are also pretty impressive given the fact that he’s not currently on an NBA roster, at 11.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 4.3 assists. He also shot a respectable 34.2% from three, as well as 80.9% from the free throw line.
But like most former NBA players playing overseas or in Ice Cube’s Big 3 League, they are always itching to make it back onto an NBA roster, and Lin is no exception.
Injuries derailed what should have been a successful career for him, and his brief stint in Brooklyn before going down with a knee injury showed that Lin is capable of being a solid contributor if healthy.
