– LeBron carries the squad
On Tuesday night, there was no questioning who was leading the Lakers. For most of the season, the combination of LeBron James and Anthony Davis has been great. This was one of the first times all season that we saw one of the two somewhat struggle.
Davis scored just 15 points on an inefficient 6-of-15 shooting from the field. This was the fewest points that Davis has scored with the Lakers in a game, as he might have put a tad too much pressure on himself in his hometown.
While Davis might not have had his best night, James certainly picked up the slack. For the third straight game, James finished with a triple-double. When things weren’t going good for the Lakers early on, James was able to help keep the team in the mix.
James ended up totaling 30 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds. Without a doubt, James is playing at a very high level right now, and his ability to set up his teammates has been his best trait this season. The way things are going as of now, it appears like James might be able to average double-figures in assists.
The Lakers and James will have a few days off before they head back home to face the Miami Heat on Friday night.
