2. 3-point shooting struggles

During the offseason, the Los Angeles Lakers’ front office, led by Rob Pelinka, made their goals clear. After landing Anthony Davis, they wanted to improve the floor spacing of the team by adding some 3-point shooters, and they did just that.

Danny Green, Troy Daniels, Jared Dudley, Avery Bradley and Quinn Cook are all above average shooters in their career. Unfortunately, they have yet to find their strokes in Los Angeles along with their teammates and this road trip was a difficult one when it came to shooting the ball.

The Lakers shot 26-of-89 in the three games, which equals out to an unsightly 29.2 percent overall. Green, who went 5-of-12, KCP, who was 3-of-8 and Cook, who went 3-of-5, were the only players to shoot the ball well from distance during the trip. James was 6-of-21, Davis was 2-of-9. Kyle Kuzma, who is working his way back, was 2-of-16 from deep.

Getting another shooter in the mix wouldn’t be the worst thing for the Lakers, but it is easier said than done. Los Angeles currently has a full roster, so adding anyone to the mix would mean removing someone else from the roster.

However, 3-point shooting is something that needs to improve as the season goes on.
